Through a generous arrangement with the Oregon Council for the Humanities, Klamath County residents will have an opportunity to meet and dialogue with Oregon Poet Laureate, Lawson Fusao Inada on the topics of poetry and community and a chance to learn more about what can keep both more vibrant and vital.

Kirsten Rian and Pamela Steele - Stayton’s Second Sunday Series

The November reading in Stayton’s Second Sundays Series of Poetry Readings will take place on Veterans’ Day, and features Kirsten Rian of Portland and Pamela Steele of Pendleton, two poets whose work reflects compassionate understanding of pain and loss, and celebrates human persistence in the face of suffering.

Paulann Petersen is inaugurating this exciting series of readings by established local poets of their own works on the second Wednesday of each month. This project is supported in part by a grant from the Clackamas County Cultural Coalition and the Oregon Cultural Trust. The readings are planned currently through June of 2008.
